COVID-19 Green Pass for ferry crossings

From now on travelling is even safer.

Always carry your Green Pass with you

Access to and use of maritime transport is permitted in relation to COVID-19 to persons who are vaccinated, recovered or present a negative test result (rapid antigen test within 48 hours or PCR molecular test within 72 hours before departure), thus meeting the requirements of the simple Covid19 Green Pass.

From 1 April 2022, the need for the Covid19 Green Pass for the use of local and regional public transport is removed, meaning that proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test result will no longer be required for travel to and from the island of Elba.

ONLY for travellers with permanent residence outside Italy is currently valid:

If you have been vaccinated twice or have recovered within the last 6 months, your digital or printed vaccination certificate with QR code is sufficient for embarkation.

If more than 6 months have passed to the day, the following applies:

Travellers permanently residing outside Italy who are in possession of a Covid19 recovery certificate or vaccination with a vaccine recognised in Italy (actually Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca et Johnson & Johnson, Novavax), even if more than 6 months have passed since the first vaccination cycle (2 vaccinations) or recovery, have access to services and activities for which the single or extended Green Pass is required in Italy, subject to a rapid antigenic test within 48 hours or a PCR molecular test within 72 hours before departure. The test is not required if recovery occurred after completion of the first vaccination cycle (2 vaccinations).

For vaccinations with non-recognised vaccines, entry is allowed ONLY and in all cases with a rapid antigenic test has been performed within 48 hours or a PCR molecular test has been performed within 72 hours prior to departure, regardless of the time of vaccination/recovery.

According to Legislative Decree No. 221 of 24 December 2021, FFP2 masks must be worn when travelling on all regional and interregional transport.
