MOBY SPECIAL RATES for Sardinian Natives and Residents of Sardinia:

On the Livorno–Olbia–Livorno and Genoa–Olbia–Genoa ferry routes, this offer allows individuals who reside in Sardinia and/or were born in Sardinia—as well as their spouses, domestic partners, and dependent children—to receive a discount on standard fares, enjoy greater benefits, and experience a simplified administrative process.

These discounts apply to the spouses, domestic partners, and dependent children of individuals born in or residing in Sardinia, provided they are booked on the same ticket. A simple self-declaration form, accompanied by a copy of the eligible person’s identification document, is sufficient; a formal family certificate is no longer required. Please download the self-declaration form and present it at the time of boarding, along with the identification documents of all passengers.

These benefits also extend to spouses, domestic partners, and/or dependent children who are not residents of Sardinia and are traveling without the person who was born in or resides in Sardinia—provided that, in addition to a self-declaration form, a copy of a valid identification document belonging to the person born in or residing in Sardinia is also presented.

REGULATIONS

To qualify for special fares available to individuals who reside in or were born in Sardinia, passengers must present a valid official identification document—both when purchasing tickets at a travel agency and upon boarding—that confirms their place of residence or birth in a municipality in Sardinia.
If an individual born in or residing in the region travels with their spouse or domestic partner and/or their dependent children, the discount is granted based on a self-declaration; the submission of a family status certificate is no longer required.
A spouse and/or dependent children who reside with the Sardinian-born or resident individual—but who do not themselves reside in Sardinia—may travel without the presence of the Sardinian-born or resident person, provided they include a self-declaration with their ticket. This must be accompanied by the identification document of each traveler, as well as that of the Sardinian-born or resident individual; no further proof of family status is required. If the specified documentation is not provided, boarding with a ticket purchased at the "resident or native" fare will not be permitted; in such cases, a new ticket must be purchased at the full fare. Tickets purchased at the "resident or native" fare are non-refundable.
This offer does not apply retroactively.
For certain departures, the number of seats allocated for the "resident fare" may be limited.

Civitavecchia–Olbia–Civitavecchia and Genoa–Porto Torres–Genoa routes

SPECIAL RATES for residents of and individuals born in Sardinia, applicable to the following routes:

Genoa – Porto Torres – Genoa

"Residents of Sardinia" are defined as EU citizens or nationals of non-EU countries who maintain their primary residence in a municipality within the Sardinia region. This category also includes individuals born in Sardinia - even if they do not currently reside there - as well as their dependent family members. Passengers must provide valid, appropriate documentation at the time of booking or ticket purchase, and again upon boarding the vessel.

Rules of validity

To qualify for the resident or "born-in-Sardinia" fares, passengers must present a valid official identification document - both at the time of ticket purchase and upon boarding - that confirms their eligibility for the respective fare. If such proof cannot be provided, travel under a ticket issued at the resident or "born-in-Sardinia" rate will not be permitted; in such cases, a new ticket must be purchased at the full fare. Tickets issued at the resident or "born-in-Sardinia" rate are non-refundable.
The discounted fare applies to vehicles, provided they are registered to the eligible resident.
Tickets issued at the resident fare in conjunction with a special promotional offer are non-refundable.
If an individual born in or residing in Sardinia travels with their spouse and/or children (or dependent minors), the discount may be applied upon presentation of proof of family relationship (e.g., an official family register extract or equivalent document).
Spouses and children who are not residents of Sardinia and are traveling without the person who was born in or is a resident of Sardinia must include proof of their family relationship with their ticket. This must be accompanied by the identification documents of all eligible individuals, as well as those of the person born in or residing in Sardinia.

For the Civitavecchia–Olbia–Civitavecchia routes (between 01/10/2026 and 31/05/2027) and the Genoa–Porto Torres–Genoa routes (between 01/01/2027 and 31/05/2027, and between 01/10/2027 and 31/12/2027), the "resident/native" fare also applies to the following groups:

Military personnel, members of security forces, and other public sector employees who work permanently in Sardinia (please present a service ID);
Non-residents traveling to Sardinia for professional reasons (please provide a certificate from your employer on official company letterhead confirming that the trip to Sardinia is for work-related purposes);
Non-resident students enrolled at a college or university in Sardinia (please provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year);
Young people up to the age of 21 (please present an identification document);
Individuals over the age of 70 (please present an identification document). We recommend also purchasing travel cancellation insurance.
